The pro clima Certified Passive House Designer Scholarship covers the full cost of the Certified Passive House Designer course, delivered in association with Australian Passive House education providers. The Course teaches the practical construction skills needed to meet the Passive House standard, covering things like achieving airtight construction, correctly installing high-performance insulation and windows, avoiding thermal bridges, and understanding how these details come together on site so the building performs as designed. It prepares tradespeople to sit the Passive House Institute's Tradesperson exam and earn certification.

Specifically aimed at tradespeople, you will gain a good understanding of the interactions and interdependency of building components in a Passive House project.
This course also enables you to assess the energy efficiency of any planning modifications and to solve problems with the designers involved in construction due to a similar knowledge base.
There are two approved Australian Passive House education providers who deliver this course and we encourage you to explore them all and select the one that works for you.
To be eligible for a pro clima Certified Passive House Tradesperson Scholarship, an applicant must be:
1. Physically located in Australia,
2. Legally entitled to work in Australia and
3. The successful scholarship recipient must enrol in the approved Passive House training course by 30 June 2027 and complete the course by 31 December 2027.

The systems approach to Passive House design includes 5 main principles.
What are they?

The answer must be your own but the video creation can be a collaboration!
Explain how a tradesperson can contribute to a successful outcome on a Passive House project. Your submission should address the following:
♦ Identifying the airtightness layer on the building plan
♦ Where the building enclosure is most likely to leak air and what to do about it
♦ Passive House airtightness targets
♦ Construction sequencing for airtightness
♦ Managing trades on site
